Is a lifestyle club the same as a swingers club?
Mostly, yes. Lifestyle club and swingers club usually name the same kind of adults-only venue: swingers club is the community's older term, lifestyle club the wording many venues prefer. Sex club is broader — it also covers fetish, BDSM, queer and sex-positive venues that are not swingers clubs — and it implies activity happens on site, which many clubs do not allow. The venue's rules decide.

The three phrases get used interchangeably online, and people reasonably ask whether they mean the same thing. They do not quite. Lifestyle is the umbrella term for the wider community; a swingers club is a venue that serves it, and lifestyle club is the same kind of venue described in the wording many venues and their guests now prefer. Sex club is the loosest of the three: the term takes in swingers and lifestyle venues, but also fetish and BDSM clubs, queer venues and sex-positive spaces that have nothing to do with the lifestyle scene, and it usually implies something the other two do not — that sex happens on the premises.
The distinction that matters in practice is on-premise against off-premise — whether guests may play at the venue or only socialise there — and the answer on what a swingers club is sets out both formats.
Admission works the same way: open entry for eligible guests at some clubs, membership, an application or a couples-only night at others, and single men restricted at many and welcomed at others.
For a first visit, choose a social night rather than the busiest on-premise night, read the house rules in advance, arrive together, and agree between yourselves what you are and are not doing — nothing about the room obliges you to take part in anything, and JoinTheSwing does not host or organize events.
