This is the single most common misunderstanding newcomers bring to Florida. Clothing-optional describes dress, not conduct. Nudist resorts and clothing-optional beaches welcome social nudity and enforce rules against public sexual behavior — often more strictly than a textile venue would, because their licences and community standards depend on it.
Florida has clothing-optional properties and beaches, including resorts north of Tampa and a beach in Miami-Dade. Each property sets its own rules, and public sexual behavior can get a guest removed; check the current policy before you visit.
If your goal is a social, low-pressure way to get comfortable being undressed around other adults, these spaces are genuinely good for that. If your goal is a play weekend, look at on-premises venues instead.
