What does Lifestyle Cruise mean?
A lifestyle cruise is a full or partial ship charter for the community, with its own dress themes, social calendar, and house rules. Booking is usually through a specialist agency rather than the cruise line.
Charters range from a block of cabins on an otherwise ordinary sailing to a full-ship buyout where every passenger is part of the group. The difference is significant: on a partial charter, public areas stay shared with the general passenger population and the rules are correspondingly conservative.
Themed nights, organised meet-and-greets, and onboard socials give the week a structure that makes meeting people easier than it is at a resort. Cabin choice matters more than on a normal cruise, and the good ones sell out far ahead.
Because charters are sold through specialist agencies, terms, deposits, and cancellation rules vary a lot. Read them before booking — this is the most expensive way to try the community, and the least refundable.
