Invitations is designed to solve the two biggest problems with lifestyle event listings: public venue addresses that expose attendees, and open RSVPs that let anyone show up. In the JoinTheSwing model, both problems are addressed structurally.

Hosts post an event with all the relevant details — format, dress code, capacity, RSVP requirements, any special notes — but without the venue address. Members request to attend by submitting an RSVP through their verified profile. The host reviews each request against their criteria before approving.

Once approved, you receive the venue address and any additional host notes. The guest list is visible to confirmed attendees only — not to the general public, not to people who were not approved, and not to members who have not requested to attend. This keeps the event genuinely private.

The check-in experience at JoinTheSwing events uses QR codes tied to verified profiles, which means hosts can confirm identities at the door without handling physical ID documents. Hosts can see verification status and vouch history during check-in.
