How does the JoinTheSwing verification process work, step by step?
Each member completes Veriff's document, face-match, and liveness flow under the provider's privacy and retention terms. JoinTheSwing stores the decision, consent receipt, provider reference, and review metadata—not the source ID or selfie images. On a couple account, both partners complete the applicable check before full couple approval.
When you begin verification, you are handed off to Veriff, a third-party identity provider. Veriff's interface guides you through photographing your government ID and taking a live selfie under its privacy and retention terms.
Veriff's automated system checks document authenticity, compares the live capture with the ID photo, and tests liveness. Completion and review time can vary by device, document, network, and whether the provider needs another attempt, so do not rely on a guaranteed one-minute result.

At launch, each adult will use independent credentials and complete verification. Consensual relationship representation can link people, but one person's completed check does not replace another's. Identity review cannot prove continuing relationship consent or eliminate misrepresentation. New registration remains closed pending the coordinated native-app release; existing members retain web access.
A verified badge is a bounded identity-review signal, not a safety guarantee. It may support verified-only discovery and future first-party invitation controls when those flows are available. Access, re-verification, and moderation decisions remain subject to current platform rules rather than a permanent badge promise.
