Verification in the Lifestyle checks that a member is an adult whose selfie matches an identity document. JoinTheSwing uses provider-backed review and stores the result and receipt, not copies of source ID or selfie images in application storage.
Verification is a foundational trust layer of the JoinTheSwing platform. Member-to-member surfaces stay gated until identity review is complete.
The verification provider handles the government ID and selfie under its privacy and retention terms. JoinTheSwing stores the verification result, receipt, provider reference, and review metadata needed for safety and audit purposes, not copies of the source ID or selfie images in application storage.
This gives hosts and members a consistent review status while keeping source identity documents outside the member-facing product.
