What does Verification Tier mean?
Verification tiers are graduated trust levels on JoinTheSwing — from basic email verification to an accredited provider's automated ID and face check — that unlock progressively more platform surfaces and event access.
Not all verification is equal. JoinTheSwing's planned access model uses progressively stronger checks, with full member access requiring provider-backed ID and selfie review. The provider handles source data under its privacy and retention terms; JoinTheSwing stores the verification result and receipt, not copies of source ID or selfie images in application storage.
Different review states can gate different parts of the app, allowing hosts to set an appropriate access standard for an event without publishing member identity documents.
