Verification & Trust · Reviewed July 2026
How do we tell if a couple on a lifestyle site is real?
Verified profiles with ID-checked badges, a history of community vouches, and willingness to video chat before meeting in person are the strongest indicators. Couples who have attended verifiable events, have consistent photo histories, and communicate at a natural social pace are almost always genuine.
The fastest check is platform-level verification. A profile with a verified badge — backed by Veriff's automated ID and face check — means a government identity was checked for both people in the couple. That alone eliminates most fakes.
After verification, look at the social history. How long has the profile existed? Do they have vouches from other verified members? Have they attended hosted events with reviewed guest lists? A profile with a year of consistent social activity and multiple vouches from people who have met them in person is essentially impossible to fabricate.
If you are communicating with a couple before meeting them, the conversation itself is a signal. Genuine couples respond to specific questions with specific answers, are curious about you rather than just focused on logistics, are willing to video chat on short notice, and are not pushing urgently toward a meeting.
Red flags include: photos that reverse-image-search to stock or adult content sites, profiles that appeared very recently and have no history, messages that are copy-pasted (generic, no specifics about your profile), and requests to move quickly to an external messaging app before you have established basic trust.
The safest approach for new members is to only meet people who have a verified badge, at least two independent vouches, and a shared social context — an event you have both attended, a Group you have both joined, or a mutual connection who can vouch for them personally.
