What are vouches on JoinTheSwing and how do they work?
A vouch is a member-authored endorsement that can add social context to a JoinTheSwing profile. It is subjective: the platform does not independently prove that the author and subject met, that every statement is accurate, or that the subject will behave safely. Consider who wrote it, what they actually say, and your own independent screening rather than relying on a count.
A vouch records one eligible member's endorsement of another profile. It may describe an interaction, introduction, or community impression, but it remains the author's statement—not proof that two people met or that claims about identity, consent, or conduct are accurate.
A host or member may consider vouch wording and context when making a decision, but no vouch guarantees RSVP approval, compatibility, or safety. A high count can still be stale, mistaken, coordinated, or manipulated.
If you choose to write a vouch, describe only what you personally know and avoid claims about private relationships, legal identity, or future behaviour. If you receive one, review it for accuracy and use the available report path when something is misleading or abusive.
When evaluating a profile, consider the author, wording, timing, and whether different endorsements contain meaningful independent detail. Do not replace direct conversation, a public first meeting, independent transport, or other safety steps with a numerical threshold.
